Calendar of Ancestral Events Updates

Hello, and apologies for the long time since an update. I have been working on things – at least before the New Year – but it’s been a hard slog. I have continued working on a particular line of Mom’s line, but once I get into the 1600s, it’s just one brick wall after another. So what I think I am going to do is to just file what I have, post it on this website, and move onto more productive areas of the family lineage.

When you look at the Family Tree (or “FT-###”) documents, you will see that there is not much information. I am working way before the U. S. was formed and there were no census documents to investigate. Basically, I am looking for wills, estate inventories, mentions in family histories, etc. The changes to the documentation are:

• FT-022 - George Rayford Smith - Mary Ann Kynerd Family was updated to Version 2 (FT-022-02), and there were no significant changes, just updating the document to the latest format. 
• FT-068-01 Robert Wade – Mary Shackelford Family is a new document. These are the parents of Sarah Wade, who married Reuben Benthall (FT-066-03)
• FT-067 is a new document for Thomas Benthall and Ann Bibbe, the parents of Reuben Benthall, but since it is mostly blank, I haven’t uploaded it yet.
• RD-017-02 is an update for RD-017-01, my research on the Shackelford lineage. The main change is I have cut down on the amount of information (from 92 pages to 50 pages) by eliminating the information that doesn’t seem to apply to my line of the Shackelfords.
• RD-019-02 is an update for RD-019-01, my research on the Wade lineage. I have added two new research items (#4 and #5). These add a tiny bit more information on the Wades, but nothing really conclusive about Robert Wade’s ancestors.
• I am also adding several new Sources (887c, 888a, 889b, 890b, 895a, and 896a). Obviously these are not in numerical order, but the skipped Sources have to do with other work that is very preliminary at this time, and in fact, may not ever be used!
