Calendar of Ancestral Events Updates

Apologies for the long delay in additions to the website.  With the long road trip, getting ready to teach a genealogy class, and continuing to work on the Wade - Shackleford lines, it's been pretty busy.  I have added a few Sources (882 - 886).  I replaced the old Source 882 that was on the site before, and that Source was converted to RD-019-01 since it was a Research Document in the first place.

On the road trip, I found Marilda Lewis' Death Certificate and her gravestone (Sources 885 and 886).  The path to Marilda is Lewis Sharp (and Mary Sharp, Jeri Fay Sharp, and Shirley Sharp) to Katherine Lee Alma Lewis (their mother) to James Houston Lewis to William Jeptha Lewis, who married Marilda Caroline Jeffreys (which I see spell Jeffers at times).  Marilda has been lost since 1942 and I was so happy to find her!  She died on November 4, 1942, and it seems she died alone with no family around her.  It's funny that there was no one who knew her husband's name, but someone knew her mother and father. That seems rather strange to me.

Sources 882 through 884 are some documents that I have been looking for 6 years.  Source 054 is a note that I found in 2018 that mentions the guardianship of Groves Davis Sharp's minor children, but I couldn't find any more information on them.  Sources 882 - 884 are those documents I have been hunting.  I haven't had time to review them since I am working on a different part of the family tree, but I will let you know what I find when I get back to that place in the tree.

I have also updated several Family Tree documents - FT-007-02 for the James Houston - Mary Brown family, FT-016-01 for the John Wilson - Rebecka Green family, FT-014-02 for the William Jeptha Lewis - Marilda Caroline Jeffreys family, and the FT-066-03 Reuben Benthall - Sarah Wade family.
